Ostentatious but nevertheless a beautiful home. 

I've always enjoyed modest living; however, there's a great appeal in having a home to entertain in, to bring friends over and cook delicious meals with, and enjoying said company and eat decadent food beneath the hearth. The outside of the home is just as wonderful as the inside -- perhaps even more. 

Realistically, I'd probably rough up the insides more, probably take down all that Victorian hoo-ha, make it completely minimalist, but I like the idea of it more than what it is actually.

Strangely what I want feels nostalgic.
